School Visits

Bring your school to the Great Yorkshire Show for a fabulously fun opportunity for children to learn more about food, farming and the countryside at England’s Premier Agricultural Show.

Each year around 6,000 school children join us for an educational, action-packed day that features everything that’s great about Yorkshire!

Primary Schools

Alongside the wealth of cross-curricular educational experiences on offer across the showground, your class can enjoy focused learning opportunities in ‘The Discovery Zone’ where having a go is what counts!

Get involved with lots of FREE ‘hands on’ interactive workshops, provided by our partners who have been selected for the high quality of their delivery and educational content of their activities, which explore food, farming, the environment and the magic of the great outdoors.  From making bread to exploring how hydraulics work, there is something for everyone!

Don’t forget to enter our Veg Box Competition and you may be selected to display your entry at the show and be in with the chance of winning a prize! Click here for more details.

Secondary Schools & Colleges

The Great Yorkshire Show provides the perfect opportunity to extend your students’ learning outside of the classroom.  Not only will they be immersed in Yorkshire’s biggest celebration of food, farming and rural life, they can also experience ‘hands on’ learning in our interactive ‘Discovery Zone’ and explore career choices and study prospects with the numerous colleges, universities and companies that will be exhibiting across the showground.
