Can I bring a picnic to the Great Yorkshire Show?

Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic to the Great Yorkshire Show. However, we ask that you refrain from consuming your own food in the catering areas.

We want everyone to enjoy their time at the Show. In the spirit of an enjoyable and safe event for all, excessive alcohol consumption is discouraged, and drunken or rowdy behaviour will not be tolerated.

Visitors may bring alcohol onto the showground for personal consumption only and in reasonable quantities.

  • Large quantities of alcohol are not permitted
  • Alcohol must not be brought in glass bottles
  • If alcohol is considered excessive, you may be asked to return it to your vehicle
