Travel

The Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, is easily accessible from all parts of the country by road, rail or air.

Follow the signs for ease of access to the Show.

Please follow the signed routes to the Show on your approach to Harrogate and do not rely on satellite navigation systems as these may direct you onto a route with limited access or temporary restrictions.  Travel information for 2017 is available to download here.

Shuttle Bus

Transdev, The Harrogate Bus Company, operates a FREE return bus service from Harrogate Bus Station (next to the Railway Station) to the Showground commencing daily at 7:20am until 8:00pm (7.20 am until 7:00pm on Thursday). Please note that wheelchair access is limited on this service. Buses depart every 20 minutes from the town centre and the service is FREE.

Please note there is no service from Hornbeam Park station.  A direct route from Hornbeam Park station to the Showground is now available via the Showground Greenway and this will be signed over the Show days.

Bus

Transdev, The Harrogate Bus Company, run buses 770 and 771 from Wetherby, Boston Spa, Seacroft and Leeds every 30 minutes which drop off outside the Showground

Train

Northern Rail trains run from Leeds, Knaresborough and York.  Trains run every half hour between Leeds and Harrogate and every hour between York and Harrogate. Then use the FREE shuttle bus.

Bike

Secure bike parking is available at Blue Gate and White Gate. A traffic management steward will assist you in finding these entrances.  View a map of the Showground for gate locations.  

Car Parking

Car parking is free of charge and extensive at the Great Yorkshire Showground. Car parks open at 6am each day.

During the Show

Obtain travel updates on the roads around Harrogate from the Highways England or tune in to BBC Radio York – 103.7 FM or Stray FM - 97.2 FM

Helicopter Shuttle

Fly to the Great Yorkshire Show 2017.  Heli-Jet Aviation are running a helicopter shuttle service from both Leeds Heliport (close to Leeds/Bradford Airport) and Bramham Park (close to the A1).

Free parking is available at both sites with the flight taking approximately 10 minutes.

A return trip is £95/person and a one-way is £79/person.
