Travel

The Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, is easily accessible from all parts of the country by road, rail or air.

Follow the signs for ease of access to the Show.

Please follow the signed routes to the Show on your approach to Harrogate and do not rely on satellite navigation systems as these may direct you onto a route with limited access or temporary restrictions.  Download more details on advised routes for 2016 here.

Shuttle Bus

Transdev Harrogate operates a FREE return bus service from Harrogate Bus Station (next to the Railway Station) to the Showground commencing daily at 7:20am until 8:00pm (7.20 am until 7:00pm on Thursday). Buses are not low floor and wheelchair access is limited. Buses depart every 20 minutes from the town centre and the service is FREE.
Please note that the service from Hornbeam Park station has been discontinued.  A direct route from Hornbeam Park station to the Showground is now available via the Showground Greenway and this will be signed over the Show days.

Bus

Transdev Harrogate run buses 770 and 771 from Wetherby, Boston Spa, Seacroft and Leeds every 30 minutes which drop off outside the Showground

For local buses around Harrogate see harrogatebus.co.uk 

Train

Northern Rail trains run from Leeds, Knaresborough and York.  Trains run every half hour between Leeds and Harrogate and every hour between York and Harrogate. Then use the FREE shuttle bus.

Book with Northern Rail in 2016 and receive a further £2 off the advance ticket price of your Show Ticket when you purchase your rail ticket at the same time.  To take advantage of this offer, visit any staffed railway station from Sunday 20 March 2016.

Bike

Secure bike parking is available at Blue Gate and White Gate. A traffic management steward will assist you in finding these entrances.

During the Show

Obtain travel updates on the roads around Harrogate from the Highways Agency or tune in to BBC Radio York – 103.7 FM or Stray FM - 97.2 FM
